Chapter History
The Fredericksburg, VA Alumnae Chapter was chartered on February 24, 2016. However, we have a rich history that begins in September 1979.
The Zeta Tau Alpha Alumnae Club of Fredericksburg was founded in September of 1979 at an informal meeting at the Hot Shoppes on Rt. 1 in Fredericksburg, VA. Mrs. Susan Flowers, then the District President, helped three local ZTAs (Betty Johnson, Angie Hallberg, and Ceil Washburn) organize the upcoming year.
As the Fredericksburg, VA area grew, additional ZTA sisters moved into the area, but the club's membership ebbed and flowed over the years. Eventually, the club grew in size and in 2011, began the process to become a chapter. The club worked to attain chapter status and on February 24, 2016 the Fredericksburg, VA Club became the Fredericksburg, VA Alumnae Chapter.
