Chapter Philanthropy and Service

Our chapter not only shows our love and support to our national philanthropy, but we also donate our time to local organizations that are dear to the hearts of our sisters. Over the years the organizations change to reflect the needs of the community and the interests of our members.

• Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Department - Operation Blue Christmas
• Toys for Tots Foundation
• Thurman Brisben Center - supplies and donations
• HeartFields Assisted Living - Bingo with the residents
• VFW Post 3103 - Flag placement for Memorial Day
• School supplies and Trunk-or-Treat supplies to local schools​
• Food donations to local foodbanks
• ​Support to local public safety

Additional service projects are planned. Come join us for some sisterhood time while helping others.

  • The ZTA Foundation was chartered in 1954 and is a tax-exempt organization as defined by the Internal Revenue Code, Section 501(c)3. Donations to the Foundation are tax deductible.

Did You Know:

• Zeta Tau Alpha’s national philanthropy is breast cancer education and awareness.
• One in eight women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime, so this cause is personal.
• Through local and national partnerships, campus and community initiatives, and the distribution of millions of pink ribbons since 1992, ZTA collegiate and alumnae members are dedicated to our philanthropy.
• Think Pink® is a registered trademark of Zeta Tau Alpha.
• Since 2004, the term Think Pink® has represented the overall theme for our breast cancer education and awareness efforts.
• ZTA members have distributed almost 25 million ZTA Think Pink® ribbons to generate breast cancer awareness, to support breast cancer survivors, and to honor those who have lost their lives to the disease.
• Through its partnership with the American Cancer Society®, ZTA is the National Survivor Ambassador of Making Strides Against Breast Cancer®.
• As the official fan outreach partner of the National Football League, Zeta Tau Alpha alumnae and collegiate members have worked with all 32 NFL teams to spread the message of breast cancer awareness to more than 10 million football fans across the country. 
• ZTA also funds innovative research with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, whose mission is to prevent and cure breast cancer by advancing the world’s most promising research.
• October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
• Zeta Tau Alpha members coordinate and participate in special events throughout October to increase awareness about early detection and to raise funds for breast cancer education.
• Zeta Tau Alpha collegiate and alumnae chapter members support our national philanthropy, breast cancer education and awareness, and the ZTA Foundation throughout the year.
